Boston Harmony

Boston Harmony is a community choir with repertoire from a wide range of folk polyphony traditions, including American shape-note, renaissance music, and music of Georgia, Corsica, the Balkans, Ukraine, and South Africa.

Founded under the auspices of Village Harmony, Boston Harmony is now co-directed by Sinead O’Mahoney and Lysander Jaffe, and meets for monthly rehearsal weekends in Concord, MA. We rehearse Saturdays 1-6 pm and Sundays 12-3, with tea breaks and legendary potluck meals built in. Boston Harmony performs in Boston, western Massachusetts, and at the New England Folk Festival in April and May.

The choir is open to singers age 14 and up. No auditions or experience necessary; all music is taught by ear. We welcome singers from the Boston area and far beyond, and we can arrange housing for commuters for the weekend.

Register here for our 2023-2024 season.
