The Epirus Ensemble, based in Boston, performs the unique traditional music of Epirus(northwestern Greece). The ensemble is led by the accomplished laouto player Vasilis Kostas, who has worked with Christos Zotos, Petroloukas Halkias, and other great masters of Epirote music. With an exclusive focus on the music of Epirus and traditional instrumentation (clarinet, violin, laouto, defi, and voice), we hope to share the beauty and variety of this musical tradition with new audiences in Boston and beyond.
